Terms and Conditions
Terms 1 The duration of the stay : The stay is limited to the reservation period and the tenant must vacate the property at the end of this period.
Terms 2 Reservation : this becomes valid, only when the tenant has transferred 20% of the total amount due to the landlord, and pays the balance on or before the agreed starting date. The tenant may not transfer his rights to a third party.
Terms 3 Cancellation by the tenant : Cancellation of this agreement must be in writing and sent to the landlord by certified mail. If cancelled more than 1 month before the starting date the transferred advance payment will be returned if the owner finds another tenant for the same dates. If no other tenant is found the deposit will be retained by the owner.
If the tenant does not arrive within 24 hours of the agreed starting date, the owner may rent the house to another tenant. The deposit will not be returned and if no replacement tenant is found the tenant is liable to pay the full price.
Terms 4 Arrival : The tenant should arrive at the agreed date, between 4 p.m and 8 p.m. Later arrival should be agreed with the owner.
Terms 5 The payment of balance : The balance of the rent must be paid in cash on the tenant's arrival, or by bank transfer at least one week in advance.
Terms 6 The property : An inventory is prepared for your arrival. Any inaccuracies are to be advised in writing to the owner within 48 hours and be noted on the inventory.
The property will be transferred to the tenant in clean condition at the beginning of the holiday. Cleaning during his stay and before departure is to be done by the tenant who will leave the property in the condition he found it. Cleaning help can be obtained locally at the tenant's cost if he wishes.
Terms 7 Security deposit: at the tenant's arrival, a security deposit of 500 Euros is required by the landlord. At the end of the stay, this amount is returned unless the tenant (or his family or friends) has had breakages, in which case a replacement cost will be deducted. The owner reserves the right to deduct cleaning costs from the security deposit if the house is not returned in an acceptable condition.
Terms 8 Use of the property : The tenant will respect the peaceful environment and use the facilities appropriately.
Article 9 Capacity : The property is for a maximum of 12 people, less if all parts are not reserved. The tenant will not introduce more than the maximum number for the parts he has reserved.
Terms 10 Animals : No animals are allowed at the property.
Terms 11 Insurance : The tenant is liable for any damage occuring during his stay not limited to the value of the security deposit. Appropriate insurance is strongly recommended.
Terms 12 Swimming pool : The tenant uses the swimming-pool at his own risk and is reponsable for using the safety system, which the owner will explain on arrival.
Terms 13 Responsability
of the owner : The owner will:
- deliver a clean house, with bedroom linen and towels for the number of tenants
expected.
- maintain an insurance policy for his civil responsability as owner.
- supply electricity and gas for the kitchen without additional charge. The
owner accepts no responsability for any interruptions of the power supply by
Electricité de France.
- maintain the garden and the swimming-pool in good condition, and may come to
the property during daylight hours in order to do so.
